How Can Anyone Grow a Powerful Sales Organization for YOU if They Haven’t Grown a Powerful Sales Organization for THEMSELVES?

In 2003, I walked out of prison broke and homeless, yet by the end of 2009, my company had generated more than $20,000,000 in sales and  was selected by Inc. Magazine as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.

I somehow managed to do this during the so called “Worst Economy since the Great Depression.”

So how does that happen? How does a down and out guy like me come out of nowhere and deliver world-class sales performance?

Maybe I just got lucky, right?

Not exactly. What I did was throw away every sales training book and program I had ever purchased and developed my own simple, yet powerful Sales System that produced massive financial results in my life and business.

Here is what I learned over the course of generating $20,000,000 in sales in just 60 months: The problem IS NOT the economy. It IS NOT your price. It IS NOT your sales team.

Poor sales performance IS the result of a sales training industry that simply can’t deliver the goods for your organization. Yet, we continue paying them for sales training because we want to sell more products and services at better margins on a CONSISTENT basis. And, frankly, we ought to be able to do that regardless of economic and competitive pressures, right?

The slow economy and a competitor’s cheap price are nothing more than excuses for mediocrity, or even worse… failure. A bad economy or someone else’s cheap price just means you have to be smarter and have a better system.

Listen, if the bad economy or a competitor’s cheap price were legitimate reasons for failure, I’d still be broke and homeless. But I am not. In fact, I now have beautiful homes in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and on the beaches of Maui.

So, why hasn’t your sales trainer been able to teach you how to reach your financial objectives? Great question, and when I give you the answer you’ll slap your forehead and say “DOH!”

The answer is simple: The same people who claim they can help you grow your sales are the same people who have NEVER done it for themselves.

Think about it. Has you sales trainer built his own company with over $20,000,000 in revenue virtually overnight? So how is he going to teach you how to do it? Is he going to teach you what he read in a book? Is he going to teach you what he thinks MIGHT work? I think you can see the problem.

As Emerson once said, “Your actions speak so loudly I can’t hear what you say.” Or as my Papaw Wainwright (less famously) said, “I’m from Missouri… SHOW ME!”

The bottom line is this: Sales trainers have consistently failed to deliver results for you, because they have consistently failed to produce results for themselves. It’s pretty obvious when you think about it.

Ask yourself this: Is it really reasonable to expect someone to grow a powerful sales program for you if they can’t do it for themselves?

A killer Sales System involves more than a sales gimmick or two. In fact, not only does the Sales System have to be artfully thought out, the Sales Process itself is only one of three critical elements necessary to growing an explosive sales organization or career.

If you really want to create a No Excuses Stone-Cold Sales Professional (in yourself or your sales team), you must address all three components:

  • NUMBER ONE: Create a No Excuses Prosperity Mindset. (I call this getting the mind right).
  • NUMBER TWO: Create (or Purchase) a Comprehensive No Excuses Stone-Cold Professional Sales System to explode your sales.
  • NUMBER THREE: YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE A SUPPORT PROGRAM THAT ENSURES ONGOING, CONSISTENT IMPLEMENTATION AND EXECUTION OF THE SALES AND PROSPERITY PRINCIPLES.

If your Sales System does not include all three you are wasting your money. Period.

Once I figured this out and developed a program to address all three, my business exploded. Next thing I knew, I had a house on Maui and an Inc. 5000 Company.

That’s why I call my Sales System The World’s Most Powerful and Effective Sales System™. And the day someone shows me a Sales System that can take a guy from being broke and homeless to generating $20,000,000 in sales and getting a house on Maui, I’ll change the name. Until then I’ll stick by my claim.
